Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear colleagues,
This letter is being sent to all European Schools through the Head of School, who is kindly asked to forward it to the responsible teachers and coordinators.
We would like to kindly remind you that the European Schools Science Symposium (ESSS) will take place next year, from 8 to 11 March 2026, in Brussels.
According to the ESSS statutes, the Opening Ceremony will, as always, be held on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 6pm.
The project presentations will take place on Monday and Tuesday, and on Wednesday we will conclude the event with the Closing Ceremony, during which the prizes will be awarded and all participating projects will be sincerely thanked.
- In November, your schools will once again be holding the local qualifying rounds of the Science Symposium.
Please remember to register the three winning projects from your school using the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/0CjnksF853
As the ESSS date in 2026 is relatively early, we are unfortunately obliged to maintain the following deadlines. We kindly ask for your understanding.
- Registration deadline: Each school must register their participation and submit three groups (including project titles and short descriptions) by 10 December 2025 via the following Link:: https://forms.office.com/e/0CjnksF853
- Submission of project reports: Final project reports must be sent by 28 January 2026 to the following address: weick@teacher.eursc.eu
- Fill in the LINK provided by the participating students https://forms.office.com/e/j80VdzmR2s
Our official website will also be active again shortly, where you will find further information, materials, and updates about the ESSS:
www.esss.wp.eursc.eu
As in previous years, we are kindly asking for a financial contribution from each participating school. We will need to collect €100 from each participant coming from outside Belgium and €50 from participants based in Brussels. We sincerely regret this necessity, but the contribution is required to cover the costs for transport, trips, activities, snacks, prizes, and meals during the symposium.
We very much look forward to welcoming you and your students from 8 to 11 March 2026 in Brussels for an inspiring and exciting European science event!
With kind regards,
Michaela Redl-Reinert and Stephanie Weick
(On behalf of the Organising Committee of the European Schools Science Symposium (ESSS))
